Full Description
A large post medieval quarry is visible as an earthworks on 1947 RAF aerial photographs of Woolsbarrow, Bloxworth Heath (1). It overlies the remains of an Iron Age hillfort (MDO7215). This site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not clearly visible on the most recent aerial images available to the project, this area now being obscured by vegetation.
