Full Description
An irregular hollow is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery of Lower Hyde Heath (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval or modern extractive pit. It is one of several similar pits located in this area. This site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
