Full Description
A small hollow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (1-2) and lidar imagery (3) of Lower Hyde Heath. It is considered possible this could be the remains of a military fox hole associated with Second World War activities in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent aerial images available to the project, this area now being under plantation.
