Summary

A rectilinear structure is visible on aerial photographs of Hyde Heath taken in 1947. It is considered likely to be a modern building, probably associated with the adjacent quarry (MDO30038). A trackway leading to and from it may also be associated with it.

Full Description

A rectilinear structure, approximately 7m x 9.8m, is visible on aerial photographs of Hyde Heath taken in 1947 (1). It is considered likely to be a modern building, probably associated with the adjacent quarry (MDO30038). A trackway leading to and from it may also be associated with it. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, this area now being under heavy vegetation.
