The remains of a large post medieval quarry pit is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery (1), located just to the south-east of Doddings Farm. It is considered likely to be associated with Dodding's Brickyard, probably for the extraction of clay. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
