Monument record MDO300 - Bowl barrow, one of the West Hill Group, Bincombe

This barrow was 20 paces in diameter and 2.5 feet in height. On arable 1953. <2>

The West Hill Group of round barrows consist of: (F) Bowl (?) (70358468) 30 yds. NE of €. Diameter 60ft, height 2.5ft. <3>

'F' - SY 70358468. Ploughed over. Diameter 15.0m approximately; height 0.3m. None of the barrows has a visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

Bronze Age barrow, visible as a low earthworks on aerial photographs. One of a group of barrows on West Hill. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. <7>
