Full Description
Second World War beach defences are visible on aerial photographs of 1941 along the beach front at Bournemouth. The beach defences consist of line of posts and appear to have been removed later during the Second World War. They extend from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
