Full Description
A hexagonal structure is visible on aerial photographs of the middle section of Portlands's North-Eastern Breakwater (1-2). It is considered possible this could be the remains of a pillbox associated with Second World War activities in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not clear whether this structure is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
