Full Description
A group of rectilinear structures are visible on aerial photographs of Bincleaves Groyne taken in 1946 (1). It is considered possible they could be military buildings associated with Second World War activity in this area. Alternatively they could be related to post medieval or modern industrial or marine activities. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). Some of these structures are still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (2).
