A floating rectilinear structure is visible on aerial photographs of Bincleaves Groyne taken in 1946 (1). It is considered likely to be the site of a modern landing stage. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (2).
