A hexagonal stucture is visible on aerial photographs (1), located on the coast just to the south-west of Chesil Beach Holiday Park (NGR SY66307 76365). It is considered likely to be the site of a Type 22 pillbox associated with Second World War military activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
