A circular hollow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (1) and Lidar imagery (2) of the Chesil Beach section of Wyke Regis Bridging Camp (MDO29869). It is considered likely to be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second World War military activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
