A series of parallel linear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and Lidar imagery of the fields surrounding Furzedown Farm, Chickerell. They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval drainage ditches or cultivation marks.

A series of parallel linear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1-3) and Lidar imagery (4) of the fields surrounding Furzedown Farm, Chickerell. They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval drainage ditches or cultivation marks. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial image available to the project, the remainder having since been built over by modern development.
