The upper part of a well containing early medieval pottery was excavated on the Bimport street frontage during small scale excavations in 1986.

Full Description

Small scale excavations by Wessex Archaeology on the site of the Savoy Cinema, Bimport in October 1988 revealed the top of a probably stone lined well or deep pit near the street frontage of Bimport. Several early medieval pot sherds were found in the top of the feature. (1)
