Full Description
A group of dispersed extractive pits, trackways and a possible field bank are visible on aerial photographs of Little Francis, Weymouth taken in the 1940's (1-3). It is considered probable these features are of a post medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are still visible as earthworks and cropmarks on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
