Summary

A group of dispersed buildings and structures are visible on aerial photographs of Weymouth taken in 1947, located at the eastern end of Knightsdale Road. It is considered possible these could be associated with Second World War military activity in this area. One structure appears to still be extant (NGR SY67324 78832), the remainder has since been levelled by modern development.

A group of dispersed buildings and structures are visible on aerial photographs of Weymouth taken in 1947 <4>, located at the eastern end of Knightsdale Road. It is considered possible these could be associated with Second World War military activity in this area. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). One structure appears to still be extant (NGR SY67324 78832), and is visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, the remainder has since been levelled by modern development.
