Full Description
A possible Second World War slit trench is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of the Royal Naval Hospital site, Castletown, Portland. The zig-zag trench is flanked by banks and is in two sections. It measures up to 90 m in length. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
