Full Description

An area of at least eight possible Second World War bomb craters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s adjacent to the western and southern sides of the Royal Navy fuel store (see MDO19665), north of Castletown, Portland. The craters are sub-circular and measure up to 19 m in diameter. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
