A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s adjacent to the Portland Railway, Castletown. The crater is sub-circular and measures 5 m in diameter. It is surrounded by a bank of spoil. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
