Monument record MDO29740 - Second World War military buildings, Chickerell, Fleet

Two buildings are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 to the north east of Chickerell Hive Point, Fleet. They are considered to be military in origin and to date from the Second World War.

Two buildings are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 (1) to the north east of Chickerell Hive Point, Fleet at SY 6397 7938 and another to the south west at SY 6410 7951. They are thought to date from the Second World War and are considered to be military in origin due to there close proximity to Chickerell Camp (MDO893) and there location on the access route for the naval decoy recorded at Chickerell Hive point (MDO29731). The features are not visible on the most up to date comprehensive imagery available to the project (2/3). The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
