Full Description
SY 69918561. A probable pond barrow, situated on a gentle W slope, on the W fringe of Came Wood. The feature comprises, a low circular bank of regular profile, about 13.0m in diameter with a maximum height of 0.7m on the W (downhill side), dropping to 0.2m on the E (it fades in the SE quadrant), with a ragged central hole suggestive of ? excavation or small tree removal. Silting and modern disturbance of the central area now gives the overall appearance of a shallow platform. Located during field investigation. Surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <1>
