Full Description
A group of seven probable Second World War bomb craters are visible as subcircular earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 at Gorse Hill, Rockley Sands, Poole. (1) Two measure approximately 8.5m in diameter the other two are smaller and measure approximately 6m. The craters are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2/3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
