Four areas of Second World War allotments are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s in Weston, Portland. The allotments are located within a strip field system (see MDO6524), in an area which has now been built over. (1) Areas were given over to cultivation during the Second World War as part of the "Dig for Victory" campaign. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
