Full Description
An area of late post medieval to modern fishing or beach huts is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of Old Coastguard Cottages. A number of the huts may have an industrial origin, either associated with fishing or quarrying. (1) The number of huts in this area has now increased (2) and appear now to all have a recreational function. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
