Full Description
A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s, adjacent to Portland Bill Road and to the east of Lawnsheds andto the north east of Butts Quarries, Portland Bill. The crater is sub-circular, measures 3 m in diameter and is surrounded by a bank of spoil. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
