Full Description

An area of regularly spaced mounds, possibly Second World War anti-glider obstructions, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s, inland to the north of Butts Quarries and south of Longstone Quarries. The mounds are visible over an area measuring approximately 390 m by 240 m. (1) An area of smaller mounds, possibly also anti-glider obstructions are located immediately to the south (see linked record). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
