The sites of three buildings or structures are visible on Burton Common on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1948, to the south and south-west of the Old Coastguard House (1-2). They are possibly of Second World War military origin. The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
