The sites of four buildings of possibly Second World War military origin are visible as extant structures on Burton Common on aerial photographs taken in 1942 (1). Foundations of two structures are still visible on the latest Channel Coast Observatory photographs (2). The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
