Full Description
A small structure, 3m across, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1940 on the road side leading down to Hive Beach. It is potentially the site of a Second World War pillbox. It is one of several lines of beach defences including a coastal battery, possible barbed wire entanglements and anti-tank cubes. (1). The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
