Full Description
Two parallel dark lines are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1940 across Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock (1). They are possibly Second World War barbed wire entanglements predating the anti-tank cubes described in MDO29645. It is one of several lines of beach defence including a coastal battery (MWX1300 and MDO29649), possible barbed wire entanglement (MDO29647) and a possible pillbox (MDO29648). The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
