A series of small extractiove pits of probable post medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the west end of North Hill. (1). The features are still extant on the latest Google Earth photographs, they were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
