Summary

Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It is one of two barrrows adjacent to one another at this location, and forms part of a wider dispersed group of 8 similar monuments. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 70 feet in diameter with a mound about 3 feet high.

Bowl barrow. Diameter about 70ft, height about 3ft. Ploughed. <1> <3>

SY 71068669. The diameter of the bowl barrow is 25.0m, and its maximum height 1.2m. There is no visible evidence of a ditch.
Published survey (1:2500) re-surveyed. <4>

SY 7106 8668. Bronze Age bowl barrow located 350 metres north east of Whitcombe Barn and included with 2 further barrows located at SY 78 NW 21 in a scheduling separated into 2 areas of protection. The barrows are also part of a dispersed group of 8 similar monuments. Each has a mound 0.5 metres to 1.5 metres in height and 14 metres to 26 metres in diameter. <7>

It is one of two barrrows adjacent to one another at this location, the other of which (MDO20721) is not scheduled. It forms part of a wider dispersed group of 8 similar monuments. <8>
