Summary

A dark line is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 on East Beach to the east of Bridport Harbour. The feature lies inside the line of Second World War anti-tank cubes (MDO29612) and is possibly a barbed wire tentanglement. The feature is no longer visible and was presumably removed soon after the end of the war.

Full Description

A dark line is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 on East Beach to the east of Bridport Harbour. (1). The feature lies inside the line of Second World War anti-tank cubes (MDO29612) and is possibly a barbed wire tentanglement. The feature is no longer visible and was presumably removed soon after the end of the war. The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
