Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. It is part of a wider linear barrow cemetery.

Full Description

Four barrows, including an oval barrow, in NW-SE line across S-facing slope of low ridge running N.N.E. below the Ridgeway. All have been heavily ploughed. 'C'. Ditched bowl (70768619) immediately SE of 'B' and possibly forming double barrow with it. Diameter about 70ft, height, about 2ft.

The four barrows are situated in arable fields as follows: 'C' - SY 70768619. Diameter 24.0m. Maximum height 1.0m. None of the four barrows shows any visible evidence of a ditch. 1:2500 Published surveys of 'A', 'C' and 'D' revised. 'B' surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
