Full Description
A curving linear feature and associated buildings are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 (1). It is considered to be a barbed wire enclosure, with possible military buildings likely to be of Second World War military origin. The buildings may also be associated with the nearby cordite factory (MDO8224) and pier (MDO2989). The features are not visible on the most up to date comprehensive imagery available to the project.(2/3) The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
