Full Description
A group of four probable Second World War bomb craters are visible as subcircular earthworks on aerial photographs dating from 1947 on Holton Heath, Wareham St Martin. (1) They each measure approximately 25m in diameter. Two of the craters are still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project.(2/3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
