Full Description
Most of a Roman copper alloy finger-ring, of which the hoop is bent and partly missing, was found at Compact Farm, Worth Matravers. The ring is of Group A (Brit. Museum Guide), an earlier, perhaps mainly 2nd century type, and has remains of a stone (or perhaps enamel) in an oval setting on the bezel. (1)

Compact Farm, Worth Matravers. Most of a Roman bronze finger-ring, of which the hoop is bent and partly missing, was found on the site described in the Proceedings, vol. 76, p. 77. The ring is of Group A (Brit. Museum Guide), an earlier, perhaps mainly 2nd century type, and has remains of a stone (or perhaps enamel) in an oval setting on the bezel.
