Full Description
An area of Second World War anti-glider defences are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1947 to the east of Lytchett Minster. (1) A 350m long linear ditch running north east to south west is bisected by two linear ditches. The southern ditch is approximatly 110m and runs north west to south east. The second (northern) ditch runs north west to south east and is approximately 100m long. The ditches are probably aircraft landing obstructions. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
