Summary

A group of 23 anti-tank cubes are visible on RAF aerial photographs of Worbarrow Bay taken in 1945. They are aligned in two rows across the back of the beach, blocking the exit from the cove. More recent aerial photographs show that these blocks have now been scattered across the foreshore, most probably due to movement by the sea (see MWX1438).

Full Description

A group of 23 anti-tank cubes are visible on RAF aerial photographs of Worbarrow Bay taken in 1945 (1). They are aligned in two rows across the back of the beach, blocking the exit from the cove. More recent aerial photographs (2) show that these blocks have now been scattered across the foreshore, most probably due to movement by the sea (see MWX1438). These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
