A circular pit, approximately 13.4m in diameter, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs in a field to the north of Baltington (1). It is possible this could be the remains of a post medieval extarctive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
