Full Description
A group of buildings, structures and earthworks are visible on aerial photographs of Newlands Warren taken in 1945 (1). They are considered likely to be associated with Second World War military activity in this area. A group of barbed wire enclosures are also visible nearby (MDO29370) and are probably contemporary with it. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, this area now being the site of a modern caravan park.
