Summary

A circular mound is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of The Warren. It is considered possible this could be the remains of a late prehistoric round barrow. It is one of two mounds located adjacent to one another (MDO29356-7).

Full Description

A circular mound, approximately 9.8m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of The Warren (1). It is considered possible this could be the remains of a late prehistoric round barrow. It is one of two mounds located adjacent to one another (MDO29356-7). This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is visible as a faint cropmark on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
