Two pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1) and Lidar imagery (2) of The Warren. They are considered likely to be the remains of chalk pits associated with post-medieval activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are still visible as earthworks on the most comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
