Summary

A group of linear banks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of White Nothe cliff. They could be the remains of eroded field boundaries associated with a late prehistoric field system visible just to the north of this area (MDO29339). Alternatively they could be associated with post medieval activities in this area.

A group of linear banks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of White Nothe cliff (1). They could be the remains of eroded field boundaries associated with a late prehistoric field system visible just to the north of this area (MDO29339). Alternatively they could be associated with post medieval activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
