A linear ditch and banked feature is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of Chaldon Downs (1). It is appears to respect the modern field pattern and is considered likely to be the remains of a historic trackway, probably associated with post medieval extractive activities in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
