Full Description
Second World War anti-tank blocks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the southeast of Poole Park.(1) Anti-tank blocks, made of reinforced concrete, were one of the coastal crust defence measures used to protect vulnerable areas during the Second World War. The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
