A possible modern wreck site, which may date from the Second World War, is visible as a submerged structure on aerial photographs taken in 1952 to the northeast of Lower Hamworthy. (1) The wreck measures 7m in length and just under 3m in width. The site is not visible on modern maps or the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
