A rectilinear feature is visible on the cliff-top at Winspit on aerial photographs taken in 1946. It is considered to be a barbed wire enclosure, possibly of Second World War military origin. (1). The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
