Five buildings are visible as extant structures on aerial photographs taken in 1945 (1) immediately to the north of the Coastguard Cottages, Kimmeridge Bay. The features are considered likely to be of Second World War military origin. The site was digitally mapped as part of the the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
