Two possible Second World War fox holes and miltary earthworks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 on Peveril Point, Swanage.

Two possible Second World War fox holes, or slit trenches, and other miltary earthworks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 on Peveril Point, Swanage. The earthworks consist of two sub-rectangular pits surrounded by banks of spoil and a sub-rectangular bank with a ditch on its northern side. The earthworks are adjacent to, or part of, a linear bank and ditch, possibly a military earthwork associated with coastal defence (see MDO29147). The possible fox holes or slit trenches are sub-rectangular and surrounded by banks of spoil. The pits measure between 9 m by 7 m and 10 m by 3 m.
